Hey, apologies if this isn’t quite the right space for this, but I think this might fall under Finance? Or perhaps Program?
There have recently been a couple of ideas discussed (notably, the digital agenda and the GeoLounge) where the notion of sponsorship opportunities were brought up.
It wouldn’t be much, maybe just a note at the bottom of the agend? Or during a GeoGuessr tournament, tell people that it’s sponsored by so-and-so, maybe they do a small prize.
Do we think this is a good idea to pursue? And if so, how would we go about doing it? And for my own sake, which committee would oversee this? I think it’s a fine idea, but once money gets involved, I want to tread a little more carefully.
I think it would definitely be worth an e-mail to the sponsors with a list of sponsorship opportunities and the expectations with each event/feature (Bowling/Agenda, etc.)
We can see what @kddarby25 thinks is the way to approach them with this info.
