As most of you probably know, the state is providing free aerial imagery in tile and mosaic formats. I believe it covers most of the state except in the Chicago collar counties. I recently received quotes on updating the planimetric data and was surprised how much the costs have increased. The costs range from 80K to over 200K for just the Peoria County extent. I am curious how other counties are updating their planimetric with the high costs these days. How are you updating the planimetric data for your county? I may hire some interns for help.
