being an “expert” in the drop-in tech support room
Who to reach out to?
Ideally, you know some subject matter experts. But you can also refer to Past Events to see who our workshop / presentation folks have been in years past.
Deadline: Aug 15
They may extend the call for content deadline, but let’s not assume that.

Discussion
Basically followed notes above. Other points:
Conference Drop-In Tech Support
We will have two rooms to work with. One for “general”, one for our rotating experts?
The more the merrier, we really can’t have too many experts on hand
Someone should be around during the breaks, too, at least in the general room
Broader tech support on the forum
During conference, remind folks of the Q&A category
If volume picks up, create topical subcategories, make use of Discourse’s “Category Experts” function to designate people who want to monitor specific categories (python, arcade, etc)
Workshops
Reach out to whomever you can! Let’s try to fill the workshop portion of the agenda, which would ideally be 3 or 4 for each day. Aim for 8 workshops total, but more submissions are always welcome.
