You’ll notice in The Commons that there’s a subcategory for The Commons > News and Announcements.
The way that category is configured, active (that is, not archived) posts will be “bumped” to the top of the feed periodically. You can think of it like the in-forum equivalent of our email blasts.
Posts with things like a Call for Content, Board Nominations, and the like, can go in here, and then those posts will stay near the top of the “latest topics” board for better visibility.
Members of @outreach will have access to post things in this category.
When a post is no longer needed, simply go to edit the topic and archive it!
Changing the Post Author
It might look more “official” if the news and announcements comes from ILGISA itself. If you like, you can change ownership of a post.
Go to the topic and find the “more” icon. Click it to see additional options, then click the wrench. From there, you can select “change ownership”.

Look for the account system.
