Hey @prof-dev , just checking in. Another month came and went, and it was the fourth Thursday before I knew it. I didn’t want to send out a last-minute meeting invite with nothing on the agenda, but it’s probably worth a post at least.
Webinars
April
The “main” webinar was really well-attended last week. This week, for the first time, we have a “bonus” webinar. It might have made a good May topic, except that it’s about a time-sensitive program, so our presenter wanted to get it out as soon as possible.
Future
It was nice to have things on the calendar, but we’re back to having no webinars scheduled. As ever, please be proactive and reach out to folks who have something worth sharing.
If any of you have connections with academic institutions, there are probably some student projects and posters that would be neat to hear about; we could invite students to do some webinar lightning talks, maybe? I think it would be a neat session if we could get enough folks to participate.
I don’t like putting myself on too often, I feel like people hear from me enough. But I do have a half-formed webinar / workshop thing I was considering doing sometime this summer. @BMcAlpine if you ever felt like re-presenting your session on IDEs, it would tie in nicely with other topics, we could do like a series.

June Regional
So, are you planning to come to the regional meetup in Chicago?

A panel?
The theme is “collaboration”. I know that the regionals usually have one panel discussion as a backup session, in case there aren’t enough submissions to fill the schedule. I’ll reach out to the Board and Committees > Program Committee to see if they’ve already got something in mind, or if we should start coming up with possible panelists.
I’d love to get someone from CMAP itself on a panel about collaboration, given how many different organizations they have to work with for their projects.
