Hey, folks!
We’re gonna have a custom-made jigsaw puzzle in the GeoLounge this fall. I was probably just going to find a really cool map of Illinois, but I am totally open to a user-submitted map.
We won’t be ordering the puzzle for a while yet, so I’m putting it out there: send in your map or map-related image!
Design / Submission Guidelines
- Submit only your own work
- Aim for dimensions 26.5" × 19.25", but your work might be cropped slightly
- Image should relate to themes of geography, spatial data, and / or Illinois
- AI submissions are permitted, but will be significantly downlisted in favor of legitimate works of creativity
Remember to consider the puzzler on the other side of this! White space and simple colors might be great for a poster, but could make for a very difficult puzzle!
Details, textures, clear “zones”, these all make for a good puzzle.
